If there are remaining funds, they will be deposited into the Capital Reserve fund – while at that point there was remaining money, the expected outcome of the 2022-2023 fiscal year is close to breakeven. With receipt of a 50% deposit, Sequoyah Pools will schedule the project for spring 2024 prior to our pool season. Based on three proposals received (ASP, Sequoyah Pools, Tipton Pools) Jane recommended that upon approval of the proposed special assessment, Sequoyah Pools be contracted to perform the work. This project will require a special assessment of $250 per household and disbursement of funds from the SHOA Capital Reserve fund. Jane Brannon provided information on cost quotes for swimming pool resurfacing and pool pump replacement. If one of the trees should die, become diseased or deemed to be a hazard, TOF could remove all of the trees. Beginning in 2024, SHOA will deposit $2000 annually to this fund.īeth Milam noted that ensuring the health of the greenway trees is very important because TOF owns the trees on its right-of-way. SHOA is required to create a “sinking fund” for financial responsibility for future repairs. He explained the terms of the agreement between TOF and SHOA for future repairs of subdivision streets and sidewalks caused by greenway tree roots.
